Our partner vetting process

No hospital enters Archon's referral network without passing every stage of our five-stage vetting process — credentials, clinical capability, pricing transparency, responsiveness, and ongoing monitoring. We work with a focused set of partner hospitals, add new ones slowly, and remove them quickly.

01

Why we publish our checklist

Anyone can call a hospital a “partner”. We can show you the checklist behind the word. When a Bangladeshi patient trusts Archon Healthcare with a kidney transplant in Pakistan, cancer treatment in China, or screening in Korea, they are trusting our judgement about hospitals as much as the hospitals themselves. So here is how we vet partner hospitals — the actual selection process, published openly, so you can hold us to it.

As of October 2026, no hospital enters our referral network without passing every stage below.

02

Stage 1: Credential verification against primary sources

Marketing claims are not credentials. For every candidate hospital, we verify:

  • Accreditation: Joint Commission International (JCI) status or equivalent national accreditation — checked against the accrediting body's own directory, not the hospital's website.
  • Licensing: the hospital's operating licence from its country's health ministry, including authorisation for the specific procedures we refer — transplant licences, for example, are separate from general hospital licences.
  • Doctor credentials: the named consultants' qualifications and medical council registrations, where publicly searchable.
  • Legal standing: for transplant programmes, compliance with the country's organ-transplant law — in Pakistan, this means the legal family-donor framework with documented relationship verification.

A hospital that inflates credentials fails here and is never reconsidered. Honesty at this stage predicts honesty everywhere else.

03

Stage 2: Clinical capability audit

Credentials say a hospital may treat you; capability says it can treat your condition well. We assess:

  • Procedure volume: how many of your specific procedure the hospital and the named surgeon perform per year — volume predicts outcomes.
  • Technology: whether the equipment your treatment needs actually exists on site. A hospital “offering” NanoKnife without a NanoKnife device is a hard fail.
  • Support infrastructure: ICU capability, blood bank, infection-control protocols, and emergency escalation pathways.
  • International patient systems: a real international department with English-speaking coordinators, not one person with a mobile phone.

04

Stage 3: Pricing transparency check

Before any hospital is listed as a partner, we require itemised, written cost estimates for representative cases — and we test them. We confirm what is included and excluded, how complications are billed, and whether referred patients pay the same rates as direct patients.

Hospitals that refuse written pricing, quote “starting from” figures with no ceiling, or add unexplained international-patient surcharges do not become partners.

05

Stage 4: Communication and responsiveness test

We run candidate hospitals through the exact journey a patient will take: we submit a test case summary and measure how they respond. We look for:

  • A response within 2–3 working days with a named doctor's preliminary assessment — not a generic sales reply.
  • Willingness to do video consultations with the treating consultant before travel.
  • Clear, numbered answers to clinical questions in short, simple English — especially important with Chinese hospitals.
  • Honest statements about what they cannot do. A hospital that claims it can treat everything is a hospital we do not trust.

06

Stage 5: Ongoing monitoring — partnership is not permanent

Vetting does not end at signing. Our partner relationships include:

  • Patient feedback loops: every referred patient is debriefed after treatment — on clinical experience, billing accuracy, and coordinator behaviour.
  • Annual re-verification: credentials, pricing, and key personnel are re-checked; consultant departures trigger re-evaluation.
  • Complaint protocol: a serious verified complaint — billing fraud, misrepresented credentials, clinical negligence — suspends referrals pending investigation, and we tell the patient community what happened.

A partner hospital is a hospital under continuous observation. The day one fails re-verification is the day it leaves the network.

07

A focused network, not a long list

Our featured partner hospitals are Modern Cancer Hospital Guangzhou, Gil Medical Center, Bayındır Hospital and Zhujiang Hospital. Kidney transplant cases in Pakistan are matched hospital-direct, on a case-by-case basis, with the treating hospital confirmed in writing before you travel.

We work with a focused set of partner hospitals across Pakistan (kidney transplant), China (cancer), Korea (screening and second opinions), Thailand (check-ups and consultations), and Turkey (hair transplant and bariatric care) — deliberately few, because each one passed the five-stage process above. We add hospitals slowly and remove them quickly.

08

Can you request a hospital that is not in our network?

Yes — tell us which hospital and why, and we will run it through the same vetting stages before arranging anything. If it passes, it becomes a partner; if it fails, we will show you exactly where and why, and suggest vetted alternatives.

Important — please read. Archon Healthcare is a medical travel facilitator, not a medical provider. Treatment decisions, diagnoses, and clinical responsibility rest entirely with the treating hospital and its doctors. Passing our vetting process means a hospital met our checks at the time of review — it is not a guarantee of a medical outcome.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How many hospitals are in Archon Healthcare's network?

We work with a focused set of partner hospitals across Pakistan (kidney transplant), China (cancer), Korea (screening and second opinions), Thailand (check-ups and consultations), and Turkey (hair transplant and bariatric care) — deliberately few, because each one passed the five-stage process above. We add hospitals slowly and remove them quickly.

Do you receive referral fees from partner hospitals?

Yes — partner hospitals pay us a referral fee, which we disclose in writing before you travel. Your hospital bill matches direct-patient pricing, and we never charge you a separate fee for referred hospital care. Read our full explanation of how we make money.

What happens if something goes wrong at a partner hospital?

We stay involved: we help you escalate within the hospital, document everything, coordinate your transfer if medically necessary, and support your return-home follow-up. Then the incident feeds back into the Stage 5 monitoring process — your experience protects the next patient.

Can I check a hospital's credentials myself?

Yes. Ask us which accreditation and licence we verified for the hospital you are considering, and check them against the accrediting body's own directory — not the hospital's website. That is the same check we run in Stage 1.
