How we make money

Archon Healthcare is paid by the hospitals it refers patients to — not by adding anything to your hospital bill. You pay your medical fees directly to the hospital, and any non-medical service fee is disclosed to you in writing before you travel.

01

The model, in plain language

Archon Healthcare is a medical travel facilitator, not a hospital. We do not provide treatment, and we do not take payment for treatment. When we refer a patient to a partner hospital, the hospital pays us a referral fee from its own marketing budget. That is how the coordination is funded: case review, hospital matching, documentation, visa support and travel planning.

Your hospital bill is the same price a patient booking directly would pay. We confirm that price parity in writing before you travel, and you can verify it with the hospital's international department yourself.

We never charge a patient a separate fee for referred hospital care. The first records review and hospital matching are free. Any coordination fee for a confirmed trip is agreed with you in writing before you travel — nothing is charged silently.

02

Who pays what

  • You pay the hospital. All medical fees go directly to the treating hospital, never through Archon.
  • The hospital pays Archon. A referral fee for the introduction and the coordination, paid from the hospital's own budget — not added to your bill.
  • You pay Archon only if it is agreed in writing. For non-medical services where they apply, the fee is disclosed upfront and agreed in writing — never added silently. See the Zhujiang note below.
  • Nobody else takes a share. We work hospital-direct. No intermediary, agent or local office sits between you and the hospital.

03

One place a patient-side fee applies: Zhujiang Hospital

For Zhujiang Hospital, Archon charges a transparent service fee for non-medical services only — visa help, transfers, accommodation and translation — disclosed upfront and agreed in writing. Medical fees are paid directly to the hospital.

This is the one place where a patient-side service fee applies, and it is the reason this page exists: the fee is for non-medical help, it is agreed before travel, and it never touches the medical bill.

04

What we put in writing before you travel

  • That partner hospitals pay us a referral fee.
  • That your hospital bill matches direct-patient pricing.
  • Any coordination or service fee that applies to your case, and exactly what it covers.
  • A direct line to the hospital's international department, so you can confirm any of the above yourself.

05

Why this matters: three ways the model goes wrong

A referral fee is not inherently corrupt — it is how medical tourism works worldwide. The difference between an ethical facilitator and a predatory one is disclosure and behaviour. These are the three things that can go wrong, and the guard against each:

  • Inflated billing. The hospital raises your price to cover the referral fee, so you pay more than a direct patient. The guard: written price parity, verified with the hospital directly.
  • Steering. The facilitator recommends the hospital that pays the most, not the one best for your condition. The guard: recommendations based on your medical needs and the hospital's actual capabilities — and asking why this hospital.
  • Double-dipping. The facilitator takes the hospital's referral fee and charges you a service fee on top, without saying so. The guard: every fee disclosed in writing before travel.

06

Questions to ask any facilitator

  • Do you receive a referral fee from the hospitals you recommend?
  • Will my hospital bill be the same as a patient who booked directly — and can I verify that with the hospital?
  • Do you charge me any separate fee on top of what the hospital pays you?
  • How many hospitals do you work with for my condition — and why are you recommending this one?
  • Can I speak directly with the hospital's international department before I decide?

A facilitator who answers all five clearly, in writing, has earned your trust. One who deflects, gets defensive, or claims to take nothing while obviously running a referral business has told you everything you need to know.

Important — please read. Archon Healthcare is a medical travel facilitator, not a medical provider. Treatment decisions, diagnoses, and clinical responsibility rest entirely with the treating hospital and its doctors. Medical fees are paid directly to the hospital. For Zhujiang Hospital, Archon charges a transparent service fee for non-medical services only (such as visa help, transfers, accommodation, and translation); medical fees are paid directly to the hospital.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I pay Archon Healthcare for my treatment?

No. Medical fees are paid directly to the treating hospital. Archon is paid a referral fee by the hospital for the introduction and coordination — that fee is not added to your bill.

Does the referral fee make my treatment more expensive?

With an ethical arrangement, no: the hospital pays the referral fee from its own marketing budget at the same price you would pay directly. The protection is simple — get the hospital's written price and ask the hospital directly whether referred patients pay the same rates.

Do you charge patients any fee at all?

The first records review and hospital matching are free. For a confirmed trip, any coordination fee is agreed with you in writing before you travel. For Zhujiang Hospital, a transparent service fee applies to non-medical services only — visa help, transfers, accommodation and translation — disclosed upfront and agreed in writing.

Why do you publish this page?

Because trust is our business model. We disclose that partner hospitals pay us a referral fee, we confirm price parity in writing, and we never charge patients a separate fee for referred hospital care. Transparency is how a Bangladeshi patient can verify — not just hope — that our recommendations serve their interests.

Can I book directly with the hospital and skip Archon?

Yes. Booking directly avoids the referral-fee question entirely — but you lose coordination help: visa letters, cost comparisons across hospitals, appointment scheduling and follow-up planning. Many patients use a transparent facilitator for logistics while keeping a direct relationship with the hospital's medical team.
