Kidney Transplant in Pakistan for Bangladeshi Patients
Yes — Bangladeshi patients can receive a kidney transplant in Pakistan when the donor is a family member, after evaluation-committee approval and documented proof of relationship. Archon Healthcare coordinates family-donor cases only: case review, hospital matching, documentation, medical visa support, and travel planning. Medical fees are paid directly to the treating hospital.
01
Who can apply — and who cannot
Pakistan allows kidney transplants with family donors only. That single rule shapes the whole process:
- Family donor only. The donor must be a family member, with documented proof of relationship, and the case must be approved by an evaluation committee before surgery.
- Donor fitness is assessed by the hospital. A willing donor is not enough — the hospital evaluates the donor's medical fitness and compatibility.
- The patient's case is reviewed first. Dialysis history, blood group, and current medical condition are reviewed before any hospital accepts the case.
- Archon never arranges or sources donors. We work only with donors the patient's own family presents. Unrelated or commercial donors are not accepted, by law and by our policy.
- No guaranteed acceptance or timeline. The treating hospital and the evaluation committee make the final decision. Any facilitator promising guaranteed approval is not telling the truth.
02
How the process works
- Share your records. Send dialysis records, blood group, and recent test reports. Archon reformats them to the hospital's required standard.
- Hospital case review. The hospital reviews the case and confirms whether it can proceed, with a written plan.
- Donor documentation and committee approval. Relationship proof is documented and the case goes to the evaluation committee for approval.
- Invitation letter and medical visa. Once the case is accepted, the hospital issues an invitation letter and Archon guides the medical visa paperwork.
- Travel and admission. Archon coordinates travel and accommodation planning around the hospital's admission schedule.
- Surgery, recovery, and follow-up. After surgery and initial recovery, the hospital sets the follow-up plan, including what to monitor after returning home.
03
Documents and visa steps
The hospital typically asks for:
- Valid passports for the patient and the donor, and for any attendant travelling with them.
- Dialysis and medical records, including blood group and crossmatch reports as the hospital requires.
- Donor relationship documents proving the family relationship, as required for committee approval.
- Hospital invitation letter, issued once the case is accepted — this supports the medical visa application.
Archon guides the paperwork end to end, but the hospital and the committee decide acceptance. Visa rules can change, so current requirements are confirmed for each case before travel.

Indicative cost
Kidney / Transplant: $16k–30k (indicative, October 2026). This is the indicative band published in our October 2026 cost guide for a kidney transplant case.
Your exact estimate is confirmed in writing with the treating hospital before travel — it depends on the hospital, the case, and the treatment plan. Medical fees are paid directly to the hospital. Travel and accommodation are planned separately and are not part of the hospital's medical estimate.
05
Hospital matching in Pakistan
Kidney cases in Pakistan are matched on a case-by-case basis. Archon confirms the treating hospital, the written plan, and the estimate with you before you travel — no hospital is presented as confirmed for your case until that written confirmation exists.
